I believe the figure is from one of the early 2000’s lines. I purchased it directory from a factory employee who had access to the figures back in the early 2000’s. The figure has been in my collection for the last 20+ years and has been safely keep out of direct sunlight in a climate controlled environment. I have roughly 20 – 30 Prototype figures all from the early 2000’s era that I’ll be listing in the near future if these first few auctions sell well. I never intended to sell these, but as I get older I feel I need to start letting a few things go. The GI Joe Prototype comes from an adult collection. The figure has never been played with. Any wear on the figure came directly from when it was in the factory. If there are any markings on the figure, again it was from the factory. The way you see the figure in the pictures is the way it came to me 20+ years ago. I’ve taken a handful of pictures for the auction.
