Very Ornate Antique French Cloisonne Champleve Crystal Regulator Clock

Description: Very Ornate Antique French 19th Century Cloisonne Champleve Crystal Regulator Clock, in Good, Fully Working Condition Very ornate clock in great condition. The hand painted fired porcelain ornate dial is beautiful, so is highly detailed cloisonne and bezel and pendulum with crystal brilliants. French cloisonne is highly valued by collectors. Rear glass is clearly a replacement, a clock of this caliber undoubtedly had beveled rear glass. There is also a small repair to the rear door's right bottom corner. Right side glass has a chip in its left upper corner. The movement is fairly clean, strikes perfectly and runs well. It is an 8-day movement, striking hours on the hour and once on half hour, marked with an 1855 Vincenti medal (note that this does not imply that the clock was made in 1855, year of manufacture is closer to the late 19th century). Like all pendulum based clocks (and especially so for crystal regulators), the pendulum has to be properly balanced after shipping for the clock to run. Another high end crystal regulator clock was sold by me on eBay about a year ago. After shipping it to UK, it got stuck in customs and, with no explanation whatsoever, after a month, was shipped back to me. Unfortunately, because of this, I will no longer mail expensive clocks to UK using U.S. Mail.
