Description: Up for sale is a fantastic, signed, original art for the cover of a book, or magazine or poster by Richard Waldrep. It is signed by the artist, in the bottom right hand corner. Richard Waldrep, an illustrator and graphic artist, lives in Sparks, Maryland. He earned his BFA and MFA in Design and Illustration from the University of Georgia. Richard began his career with Graphicsgroup Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. He spent four years developing his talents with Graphicsgroup Inc. Richard then joined Eucalyptus Tree Studio Inc. in Baltimore, Maryland in 1976. He continued his successes, serving as a partner, with Eucalyptus Tree Studio Inc. until 1993. Richard then branched off to form his own company, Richard Waldrep Inc., which he still heads up today. The art is not matted or framed and measures approximately 16" x 19 1/2", including the border area. The actual art is approximately 13" x 17". The medium is probably airbrush. Overall, the art is in Very Good Condition. Some browning and stains on the mat. There are a few "white-out" marks on the mat, as well. The piece has great coloring - very vibrant, crisp colors. It is covered in plastic and the plastic is then covered in paper. It will look great when matted and framed. This is an excellent investment and a superb example of this great artist's work - a perfect piece for any collector! Other dings here and there.
