Description: VDO Instrument Cluster Lighting Potentiometer Wirewound Ceramic Potentiometer for brightness control of dashboard lightning. Includes black plastic (bakelite) knob and mounting nuts. Original Vintage part - made by VDO in mid 1980s. Rated: 24V. Measured Resistance from end to end: 36 ohm. , the pot has an "OFF" position - it turns the lights off after the lowest brightness is reached. Potentiometer body size (only body size): 32x26x15 mm = 1.25x1.02x0.60 inch Full height, including shaft and knob at the top and the leads at the bottom: 49 mm = 1.92 inch Shaft diameter: 4 mm = 0.16 inch Diameter of mounting hole: 8mm Length between two side holes (also are possible fixing mounts): 27 mm = 1.06 inch. Unfortunately I don't have the exact part # for this part. I was able to find only similar parts, and from their size and shape, I think this potentiometer is very similar or equivalent to: MB part # 0005422625 MB part # 6155420225 I think it fits some of the 1970s and 1980s models of Mercedes Benz trucks, buses, off-road vehicles, i.e. Unimog, etc. Condition: NEW, stored in factory sealed plastic bags.
