Description: Are you sick and tired of spending your hard-earned money on Vacuum Sealer/Marinate containers only to have them not hold a seal??? I sure was. It turned out that I was creating the problem myself by making sure the container was CLEAN! Imagine that, the simple process of cleaning your expensive vacuum marinating container stops holding a vacuum after the first time you use it because you had the poor judgment to clean it with common soap and water. I was completely frustrated with constantly having to call customer service to get told they would only replace the entire container, or that I would have to purchase a new one. Or, that they no longer made that model, and the only option would be to upgrade to a newer style. So, I did my own investigation and discovered the problem and the fix for it. Look at the photos that I have provided. Unscrew the knob on the lid and carefully look inside with a light. In the very center at the bottom of the depression, you will find that the whitish-looking O-ring is missing. It likely came out when you unscrewed the knob to wash the container lid. That’s what happened to a number of my container lids. The company knows this is an issue, and has been an issue since they first started making vacuum containers. Literally EVERY CONTAINER MODEL they have ever produced uses these same O-rings. They do not warn customers to exercise care not to lose the O-ring when removing the knobs for cleaning. Why? Because they want to sell you more containers and convince you that you broke it and it wasn’t their fault! They won’t even sell you replacement O-rings, but I will. Here’s the quick fix… remove your lid and carefully unscrew and remove the knob making sure that you do not lose the tiny O-ring if it still happens to be inside. If the O-ring is gone, then buy my package of 5 O-rings, take your wife’s tweezers and insert one of them into the hole in the middle of the knob depression under where the knob goes, Screw the green knob back on, and you are in business once again. PLUS, you have extra O-rings to use when you lose more of the O-rings during the cleaning process! Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!
