Description: UZY3 Fireplace Blower Fan Kit for Security Fireplaces Our UZY3 fan kit is a dual blower setup designed for a select number of older Security fireplaces that used the now discontinued OEM UZY3 blower. Instead of a brass sleeve bearing, we use a 100% ball bearing centrifugal blower and motor assembly, coupled with a full range variable speed control and an automatic thermostat sensor. Blower has pre-installed neodymium magnets and noise reduction padding, which makes installation a DIY job and very easy. The limited space in these fireplaces requires a small blower, but don't let size fool you. These two blowers pack a respectabe punch of 220 CFM of air flow and will drastically improve the efficiency of your fireplace. WALL MOUNT RHEOSTAT OPTION - An optional wall mount speed controller can be added to the UZY3 kit. It is designed to replace your existing wall switch and allows for full RPM control of blower speed. Includes ON/OFF position. Installation Instructions Open the bottom louver of the fireplace. Place each blower into the fireplace and mount each blower on the side opening 1" from the back of the fireplace. Install the automatic blower activator (t-stat) on the side of the firebox (the blower activator has a magnetic mount). Plug the blower kit into the junction box. Blowers are already grounded via the provided 3 prong power cord. If plugging into a 2-prong outlet, you'll want to ground each blower to the back panel.
