Description: BEST PRICE ON EBAY Up for auction is a great and inexpensive fuzz pedal. It's an Electro Harmonix Ripped Speaker and it's a good one. Who hasn't heard of Electro Harmonix. Talk about an American icon. Back in the day everyone owned at least one Electro Harmonix pedal. They were there in the beginning, and they are still here today. Building quality, affordable effect pedals. I've owned many and still own a few. The Ripped Speaker can produce those classic lo-fi fuzz tones from yesteryear, but you will find a myriad of other fuzz tones. You need this fuzz pedal. Please go to the last few paragraphs for a more detailed description of this pedal functions and sounds. I was able to buy two of these pedals, from a music store that went out of business. Both were new and had never been played prior to me owning them. I have played this pedal twice in my home studio. Last time was prior to listing. The pedal functions properly and sounds great. Comes with the original box and manual. Lots of info online and some good you tube videos. I urge you to check those out. I will be listing other pedals and guitar related equipment. Check my listings for some great deals. I ship out items quickly. I pack up items properly and ship out quickly. I do use ebay's Global shipping for all international shipping. Please do not bid if you are not willing to use that service. Below is some additional info I found online: Lo-fi distortion sounds of yesteryear, the kinds of sounds created by a razor blade applied to a speaker cone, a loose tube or a faulty channel on a recording console. When you crank the fuzz up the sound is transformed. It’s modern and monumental with a searing, fully saturated, fuzz tone. The EHX Ripped Speaker’s RIP knob is a bias control which sets the amount of clipping at the top and bottom of the signal wave form. It adds a lot of versatility and lets you tailor the character of the fuzz. Noon is neutral, a position where the fuzz is perfectly biased and is fat, with a great low end and top end bite without being harsh. As you turn the knob clockwise the pedal produces a hard gating effect and the signal sputters and chokes. It’s great for creating a dying battery effect. Turning the knob counter-clockwise produces yet a different style of fuzz with a smoother gating effect where the signal fades out quickly. The EHX Ripped Speaker’s TONE control is active and delivers a tilt-shift type EQ. That means at noon the EQ is flat. As you turn the knob counter-clockwise the frequency response gets darker with more pronounced lows and less highs. Going clockwise yields a brighter tone with more highs and rolled back lows. Quick Specs: • Versatile pedal delivers fuzz that goes from old school to modern • Bias control • Active tone control • True bypass switching • Pedalboard-friendly size
