This listing is for an original WW2 Citation patch with olive green color cloth border edge and an inner brass colored metal bullion border. Looks like it was cut off the uniform. The center has a blue threaded background and mounted in the center is a single brass oak leaf pin. The piece 2" wide BY 1" and is in very good condition with some fading and dust as seen in photos; all stitching is intact, bullion complete, etc. The army Presidential Unit citation (PUC) is awarded to units who demonstrate exceptional heroism in action against an armed enemy. Requirements include that the unit must display such gallantry, determination, and espirit de corps in accomplishing its mission under extremely difficult and hazardous conditions as to set it apart from and above other units in the same campaign.
