This is one of the very last piece of this wonderful fabric. This fabric dates c 1900~ ideal for a time-touched interior!! So much fabric for many projects ~*The tone is a beautifully aged, antique pink leaning towards the salmon tone of pink ~ ~a really lovely faded look with some super interesting machine stitched mends here and there! If you are looking for a fabric that tells a story, this is it! Super charming signs of time and use ~*~ This is a heavy weight cotton and linen fabric with a twill weave and would be stunning used for upholstery, pillows and many other creative projects. ~*~ As genuine as they get! ~*~ ~*~ Ideal for adding that wonderful, authentic vintage look to any interior MEASUREMENTS : This lovely ticking measures 45 inches wide by 155 inches long ( 4.3 yards ) CONDITION : Ive freshly laundered this lovely piece . There are still some little feathers residue clinging to the back of the fabric as this was once used as a mattress cover, stuffed with feathers! ~*~ There are some marks that didnt fully wash, there are some small holes, there are machine made mends also ~ Ideal only for creative hands! ~*~ Condition reflected in the price~ ET 42KL 12/15/2021 *The Word ticking is derived from the Latin word for case, Tica. Ticking fabric was used for creating mattress, as the European bedding system of old, consisted of many layers of textiles stuffed with straw and fodder at the bottom, and topped with a dense denim ( ticking) for the top layers, stuffed with feathers. The fabric came to be known as denim, as Nimes , France was one of the great producers of this ticking fabric...denim ( de Nimes! ) ~ a wonderful fabric for many projects.
