Description: This is an excellent Stereo card of the United States Capitol, Washington, D. C. It was made by Underwood and Underwood and is from about the late 1890's. The card is titled "United States Capitol, Washington, D. C., U. S. A.". This card is in near mint to mint condition and measures 3 1/2" by 7”. Stereoviews or stereo cards have two nearly identical images mounted side by side. When looked at through a stereo viewer they give a three-dimensional image. Most popular from 1854 to 1938, they were produced in vast quantities, and many are of historical interest. They usually measure about 3 ½” by 7”.
