In addition, the banknote contains additional modern optically changeable security elements, in particular: - polymer tape with a width of 12 mm with a combined optical-variable effect, which manifests itself when the banknote tilt angle changes; - an element made with iridescent paint with a mother-of-pearl effect. About the design of the banknote The main image of the obverse side of the commemorative banknote is the figures of three Ukrainian soldiers raising the State Flag of Ukraine (photo "Ukrainian soldiers raise the flag" by Oleksandr Smirnov) against the background of fragments of the map of Ukraine and the flags of countries that support Ukraine. Above - the following texts in Ukrainian and English (between the texts - a laurel wreath): «On 24 february 22, a new stage of armed agrression against Ukraine began wiht a full-sccale invasion of Ukraine by the russian army. Under the laurel wreath is the inscription: AND THERE WILL BE NO ENEMY ON THE RENEWED EARTH... and a polymer ribbon containing: the hryvnia sign, the sign of the National Bank of Ukraine, the chevron of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the emblem of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the inscriptions: GLORY TO UKRAINE, GLORY TO THE HEROES. The digital designation of the denomination is 20 (bottom left), the vertical inscription TWENTY HRYVEN (to the right of the soldiers) and a stylized steppe with poppy flowers - a memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine. The main image of the reverse side of the commemorative banknote is a stylized composition that represents the physical suffering and spiritual experiences of Ukrainians during the occupation - hands are tied behind their backs, behind which a figure with a trace of a bullet in the form of a poppy can be guessed (the author of the design Serhiy Mishakin), on both sides of which – stylized wings made of candle flames; above, on the background of the outlines of destroyed buildings, there is a wreath of thorns, a symbol of martyrdom, to the right of which is a protective element, a color composition combining the image of a viburnum and an anti-tank hedgehog. Also on the reverse side of the banknote there is an inscription: "REMEMBER! WE WILL NOT FORGIVE! NEVER!" (under a crown of thorns) and depicts a kind of allusion - stylized poppies, representing bloody traces of bullets.
