Description: We offer this unique combination of two high quality silicone molds, which will help you produce stunning Epoxy resin rig lure heads for offshore fishing of tuna, marlin, mahi, dorado etc. These lure heads are equally good for slipping skirts on them as well as used in a Carolina rig as shown in the last scheme. You would be able to create lure heads any weight you want, ranging 25g - 125g / 1oz - 4.5oz This kit includes: 1 mold for the inner part of the head, 1 mold for the final lure head, 1 steel rod for creating the tubing inside the lure head. Always lubricate the mold with petroleum jelly before pouring resins!!! This ensures the smooth release of the head and the longevity of the mold! Lure Head Parameters:length: 5.5 cm / 2.2 inchesweight: ranging 25g - 125g / 1oz - 4.5oztwo diameters where you slip in the skirts: 22 mm and 18 mmeye diameter: 16 mm inner tube diameter: 3.2 mm 25g / 1oz headThis is how the system works: If you want to create a 25g / 1oz lure head, you simply place the steel rod in the final head mold, close it and you pour in your epoxy resin. This way the head will be made of nothing but Epoxy resin. You could make it all transparent or tint it by adding colorant to the Epoxy mix. After the resin has dried, you take out the head and pull out the steel rod with pliers. The head is then ready for polishing, adding eyes and varnish. This way the head will be light and perfect for trolling type of fishing. 25g - 125g / 1oz - 4.5oz headIf you want to create a heavier head, you would use the inner mold first, as shown in the photos. You place the steel rod in it, close it and pour the lead in. Once it cools down, you take out that lead cylinder together with the steel rod, cut off any imperfections, you can color it, add holographic foil to it etc. You then place the lead cylinder in the final head mold and it is ready for pouring the epoxy resin. This way you get a lure head of 125g / 4.5oz in weight. Alternatively, instead of making a lead cylinder with the first mold, you can avoiding melting and pouring lead by simply using lead strip as shown in the pictures. This way you can easily determine the weight of the lure head. You can stick your holographic foil to the lead strip just as easily.
