These decorative or faux hinges are crafted in the New Orleans style or Fleur-de-Lis style. The new, American made faux strap hinges are made from 3/16” thick milled steel and weigh about 1 lb., 1 oz. for the pair. Measuring approximately 11 1/8” long by 1 1/8” wide, this set of 2 hand-forged exterior faux hinges are finished with a semi-gloss black electro-deposition coating, an automotive industrial finish used on under-car parts like alternator brackets and trailer hitches – metal pieces that are subjected to the harshest environments.
