Description: T&V Limoges Hand Colored Floral & Gold 7 1/2 Inch Dessert Plate Circa 1892-1914 Very pretty porcelain plate. Nicely decorated in a sort of Dresden style with hand colored floral garlands in purple, pink, purple, and yellow. With fancy gold gilding along the inside rim and gold gilding along the edge of the plate. Marked on the reverse in green with Limoges inside a star and over France. This is an underglaze whiteware mark used by Coiffe in Limoges France between 1891 and 1914. Also marked with T.V inside a red bell over France with Abram French Co Boston Mass around it. This is an overglaze decorating mark used by Tressemann & Vogt in Limoges France between 1892 and 1907. It was made for the Boston retailer Abram French & Co. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 7 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
