Description: From the Toxic Sludge Family of Hot Sauces, Extracts, and Capsaicin Pain Relief Ointment, we are now offering this 13 Million SHU Oleoresin. This item is very different then a sauce or even an extract. Oleoresins are semi-solid extracts composed of a resin in solution in an essential and/or fatty oil, obtained by evaporation of the solvent(s) used for their production. At room temperature they will often be a solid and will not pour freely or it might pour exceptionally slowly like a very thick ketchup. To completely liquefy we suggest that you seal the vial in a small baggie and add to almost boiling water for a minute or so. Oleoresins have very little flavor and are NOT meant to be consumed straight. We will not accept any liability for those who choose to misuse this product. If you must try it straight then please do it with a very small amount on a toothpick. Oleoresins are meant to be used as a flavor enhancer or to intensify the heat or flavor of other items like your home made hot sauces, chilies, soups, jambalayas and salsas. We've had a few buyers that added a drop or 2 to a 1/2 gallon of Bloody Mary Mix. We haven't tried that one ourselves yet but it sounds intriguing. This item must be handled very carefully. Use gloves when handling in a well ventilated area. Do not let it come into contact with skin, eyes, or mucous membranes. It will hurt you.
