Description: Tower 55a ( Sears) 35mm rangefinder camera. 1959-1961 - dates of manufacture - made in Japan Color Luna 45mm lens 4 shutter speeds - 1/300 - 1/100 - 1/50 - 1/25 and B Aperture 3.5 - 16 Focus 3 feet out to infinity The camera is in decent physical condition, no dents on metal, leatherette (?) materialall intact. All rings move, although a little stiffly. The shutter button is the main issue of failure on this piece. It seems to be stuck in the "open" or triggered position. When youadvance the film, at the end of the movement the shutter trips. Would certainly be a fun neat camera once functioning- extremely small in size, seems closer in size to a half frame style camera. This is a full frame photo. Company not around for a long time, might be a rarer piece in your collection - pricing based on unusable condition - hopefully will at least be a placeholder for a future working unit. Case is in excellent condition - showing it's age but 100 percent intact.
