The body is likely made of sen wood, giving it solid weight and resonance.The FVD was a limited edition original (ish) design introduced by Tokai in the early to mid 80's alongside the EXD, FSD and TZ. These were a range of pointy guitars sporting the same bolt on maple neck with a Stratocaster style headstock. The build is quintessentially 80's Tokai, beautifully put together and stunning to play.There are some age-related marks, but overall, the condition is good. There is a small chip on the fingerboard; however, it does not affect playability. The neck is straight, with about 70% of fret life remaining, and the truss rod has plenty of room for adjustments. The shaft of the 3-way switch was broken, so it has been replaced with a new one.
