I purchased this never used and unpunched copy in 1996 as a backup and it has sat on shelves and in closets ever since. This game will be packaged, protected, and insured so it arrives in the same condition it is now. The box has some minor wear and marks from being stored and moved multiple times. The front cover also has a tiny bit of residue from an old price sticker. The game still has a very devoted following, which is a tribute to the depth of the various strategies and approaches. In fact, the game is still played at the highest levels at the World Boardgaming Championships each year. The game is divided into two realms, the masterboard and the battleboards. On the masterboard, legions of mythical creatures roam about trying to recruit bigger and badder monsters and kill opposing legions in the process. When a combat occurs, the action moves to the battleboard type corresponding to the terrain type of the boardspace the fight is taking place in. After lots of die rolling, the army that remains standing is returned to the masterboard with points for the victory. The points are used to recruit Angels and Archangels and to augment the player's primary character: The Titan. As the points increase, the Titans become ever more powerful. A powerful titan is able to kill most other characters with a single blow. But be careful: If the Titan dies, the player is out of the game. The last Titan standing is the winner of the game.
