Theodore Haviland Limoges Tureen for Wanamaker Department Store

Description: Antique Theodore Haviland Limoges France Soup Tureen for Wanamaker Department Store Posted for your consideration is this wonderful Theodore Haviland Limoges Soup Tureen made for one of the first department stores, Wanamaker’s with stores in Philadelphia, Paris, and New York. This has the impressed “TH” Mark as well as the Red Theodore Haviland backstamp. It further has the green backstamp for Wanamaker’s, “W” surrounded by a wreath which dates this to around the early 1900’s (1905 to 1915). It is decorated with Hand Painted Rose accents and heavy gold trim. I found no chips or cracks but there is some wear to the gold trim. This measures 13 ½” from handle to handle – the “Bowl” is 10 ½” x 7 ¼” x 4” deep on the inside and measures 7 ½” tall to the top of the handle.
