Description: First US edition hardcover copy of The Will to Power by Friedrich Nietzsche (Random House, 1967). Translated and with an introduction by Walter Kauffmann. This is the first comprehensive edition of these notebooks, with commentary and index, in one of the better English translations of Nietzsche's unfinished work, before it was mutated into something entirely different by his sister. A rare find and provides an interesting glimpse into this iconic thinker’s process, methods and interests. Jacket has moderate rubbing to faces, and wear around the edges. No serious tears though, and is in archival mylar sleeve. Boards are straight and clean, binding is strong, spine is square, text block is tanned but unmarked, and apart from pencil markings on the front endpaper, all pages are clean. Please see photos for condition. Will ship in protective packing.
