The Silmarillion By J.R.R Tolkien 1977 1st American Edition, 1st Printing w Map

Description: This is the first edition and stated first printing of Tolkien's The Silmarillion published by Houghton Mifflin in 1977 with $10.95 price and with the map (small tear on map border but map intact). The book itself is in good condition with a good binding and no mustiness or odor, but the dust jacket shows wear, especially the spine which has a few tears and is sun-darkened (some spots similar to foxing), as shown. It would look better with plastic or mylar over the DJ and I'll put one on if I have. Because of the DJ, I've priced it accordingly. Thanks for looking.
