Pulls smoothly and sounded fine on my trusty Realistic TR-169 test deck, but the pads on ‘Close Up’ are soft/spongy and replacement is recommended for serious audiophile listening. Be aware that sub-par pads could result in degraded sound quality on a higher-end machine. This is an easy fix—but not for MY arthritic fingers!
