Description: These books are ex-library and have the usual markings and stickers. These books have some of the most beautiful gilding that I've ever come across in my years of selling antique books, which is quite the feat for a set that is over a hundred years old! Photos just don't do it a justice. That being said, these books are not without their faults. All books have their covers still firmly attached. Hinges on the books are very strong and these books were very well made. However, the leather is worn on all books, sun bleached on the spine of every book, and some books have some scrapes and scratches in their leather as well. Some have bits that are peeling due to the scratches. There is also a sticker on the spine of these books from the library they came from. All books have all their pages and no pages are loose. Binding is still quite strong. As these books are ex-library, they have some markings, writing, stamps, and stickers from the library they came form. These are all on the first few pages of each book, but there may be some elsewhere further in the books as well. Books will be well packed in several boxes when purchased to ensure that they get to the buyer in one piece. I wrap books individually to keep them safe as well.
