The Cantino Fly Reel- 7wt - 8wt - Custom Handle

Description: The Catino Reel Is a classic part of fly fishing history. It played a role in the evolution of the Cork Drag reels that we all have grown to love. Frank Catino designed the catino reels based off the Original John Emory Reel. These 2 reels are the precursor of the Tibor and Abel cork drag reels. This Reel has been used but is in great shape for being from the 70s. These reels were only made for a limited time which is what makes them such a unique piece of saltwater fly fishing history. The Reel is in good working order. I took it apart and cleaned and oiled the cork, and bearings, the drag builds pressure, smooth feeling. The Reel knob is a custom handle. There is some tarnishing on the spool knob.
