Author, Tony Thomas, spent time with Busby Berkeley and his wife, Etta, who supplied priceless photos and remembrances of his life in "The Man Behind the Spectacle." Mr. Berkeley's films are then individually addressed to give a rare look at his talent and process to make the camera itself dance. The photos themselves are a treasure trove, many not be published elsewhere. Film archivists continue to look at Berkeley's films and career as they are major stepping stones to more recent filmmakers such as Baz Lurhmann and will continue to influence the way movement is captured by the camera. Mostly black and white photos with a synopsis and comments on the films credited in one way or another to Buzz. Photographs are part of the description and should be used and viewed as such.
