Description: Published in 1961 by Holt, Rinehart and Winston, NY. Stated 3rd printing, May 1961. Hard cover with dust jacket (DJ). See photos for condition. DJ has moderate wear. Some foxing and toning. Edgewear - creasing, ripping (< 1 inch), and whitening, particularly near edges and corners. DJ has some surface scratching. Spine has a bit of a warp - leans back towards the top but straight towards the bottom. Hard cover boards in great shape. Some minor shelfwear on edges and corners - whitening of fabric. Corners curling in slightly. Previous owner name written on first two front endsheets. Binding in great shape - not tight but not coming apart, appears to have no splitting in gutters. Small amount of pen on fore edge of text block. Some pages have underlining in pen and/or pencil (see photos). This is most prevalent in the first ~10% of the book, but exists to a lesser degree throughout. Otherwise, pages appear clean and clear of highlighting or notable damage (e.g., significant ripping, creasing, or staining, or pages missing).
