Description: SL-1301:::: Quartz lock direct drive and fully automatic operation. On board is a Shure M44G cartridge—I know, DJ cartridge right??…this combination sounds very good, surprisingly so. I tracked this at 2.0 grams. It must be noted that the anti skate spring apparently has tightened—therefore I ran the anti-skate just under 1.5 which allows for a straight drop. I completely disassembled this machine and did a meticulous deep cleaning...removed/replaced all lubricants...cleaned the switches..cleaned the speed controllers.…cleaned to speed selector switches and relubricated…added fresh dampening oil…lubricated the spindle...and sound/functions tested this for a couple of days now. All functions work as designed. Condition: the base is very nice with just a few defects—a few wear marks from the cover set down point and a couple scratches around the edges (pics)…….the platter is very good with just a bit of oxidation …the mat is soft and pliable …the cover is very good, some surface swirling and scratches (some internal rub marks).…..the original feet are good…..please check the pictures to verify condition of this machine. Taken altogether this is a really nice 1301…fully functional….good quality cartridge …….built Technics tough. I will ship, at the buyers expense, utilizing FedEx to any of the contiguous 48 states. I pack with great care and fully insure for shipping. I use heavy duty boxes reinforced with foam board in the corners. Believe me when I say I Don’t want transit damage more than you don’t. Due to the age of this device and the uncertain nature of vintage electronics this device is being sold AS IS with no returns. This is NOT a new machine...as such, it does not come with any guarantee implied or written. This machine will come partially disassembled. You will need to mount the platter—and the drive belt in belt drive machines—the counterweight..and in some cases the anti-skate weight. DO NOT operate the machine without first properly balancing and setting the appropriate tracking weight.
