Description: Post-Rev War. Talbot Allum & Lee British Trade COIN: One Cent. 1794 (Half of date difficult to read, but all there. “17” clear.) Notable for finely detailed rigging of ship above which “NEW YORK” destination appears in high relief. On the Reverse Liberty holds a pole surmounted by a Liberty Cap. Behind are shipping crates. In Relief around, the logo reads: LIBERTY and COMMERCE Measures 1 1/8 inches in diameter. As these go, this is a nice example. Most do not state “New York.” The details on the ship side are very fine, and on the Liberty side grade fine. The surface is decent, untooled or repatinated. It is moderately worn.
