Without tamper-evident protection the label could be removed and applied intact to a counterfeit product. The holograms diffract light whereas print can only reflect it. As light refracts through the hologram with movement the hologram goes through a rainbow of color. Not only does this look great but it is an added security feature as well. They cannot be replicated by color copiers. Tamper Evident (T.E.) labels describes products than in some way show 'evidence of tampering' if removal is attempted (as long as the original application was to a smooth, clean and dry surface). If the T.E. label is removed, the remaining portions that come off will be invalid and/or unusable.The labels come on a silicone based paper liner. If you have a product or coating that contains silicone they will not work on your product. These work best on clean, smooth flat non-porous surfaces.
