SUPERB RARE 1957 VINTAGE LONGINES 9CT SOLID GOLD OPEN FACE POCKET WATCH WORKING

Description: For Sale is a Superb Vintage 9ct Solid Gold Working Longines Gentleman's Open Face Pocket Watch. Dial - The dial with subsidary seconds dial is a creamy gold dial with black Arabic numeral hour markers with minute markers around the edge, the hands are blue steeled and it is marked "Longines" at the top. The dial as can be seen is in excellent used condition with no signs of damage. Case - The casing is 9ct solid gold and is engraved to the reverse with the initials WTHC in ornate lettering with June 20th 1964 below. It is hallmarked to the pop off back cover with the Case makers mark B&Co, 9.375 denoting 9ct solid gold, the date letter B for 1957 and the London assay office Leopards head, along with a serial number 4048, please see all the additional photos as they form part of the description. The casing is in excellent used condition with no dents, dings, splits or repairs. Movement - A superb good quality top hand wound Swiss made movement, which is marked with a serial number 4380143, Longines and 18.89m. The movement is in excellent working order keeping good time +/-2mins. Glass - synthetic glass in 9ct solid gold casing. Dimensions - Diameter excluding stem/crown 45mm, visible dial 40mm approx.
