Description: Super Fast Pinewood Derby car built from the official BSA kit. This pinewood derby car is made for Cub Scout Racing and will meet almost any rule set. The wheels are mold matched and have been CNC machined just enough to ensure they are smooth and round for faster performance. The wheel bores have been polished and sealed to make a slippery surface and reduce friction. The axles are sanded and polished to a mirror shine. I use a jig and drill precision holes at the top of the axle slots. The axles ride in the slots to meet rules that don’t allow drilled axle holes or extended wheel bases. The car is a 3 wheel touching Rail Rider car and has been aligned to drift to the center rail. The car will make over 100 passes down the track before any loss of performance. The car weighs 4.88 ounces on my scale and is rear weighted with the ideal center of gravity. The color is silver metallic and is primed and painted with enamel paint.
