Description: Stephane Grappelly is the guest artist on this record. Old time jazz /folk musician Stuff Smith made his recording debut in 1936 after gaining recognition as a talented jazz artist working at the Onyx Club on 52nd Street in New York City. Smith at that time was described as "palpitating Paganini" and gained the reputation as one of the most unique musicians of that time, completely unorthodox in style and technique. This record plays great and is graded as a strong VG+. The inner sleeve is generic. The jacket has minor edge and shelf wear. See images. I use high quality cardboard mailers to ship my records. I encase the records in clear vinyl protective outer sleeves reinforced with two cardboard inserts to safeguard the records in transit. I play all of my records at least once before grading. None of this grading by visual sighting only. Shipped by USPS Media Mail.
