This Stropping Belt Kit is used just like the Work Sharp Knife and Tool Sharpener WSKTS and the new WSKTS Mk. 2belts but will produce an even sharper edge than what you would normally achieve. The sharper the edge the cleaner and smoother the cut and the longer it stays sharp! This Stropping Belt Kit includes (3) 1/2" X 12" 12000 Micro-Mesh belts and a stick of specially formulated Polishing Compound. The 12000 Micro-Mesh belts utilize aluminum oxide crystals and have the Ultra-Flex technology so they are extremely flexible allowing them to conform to the blade profile that a leather belt cannot. So flexible that you can still use the sharpening guides (leather belts are not compatible with the use of the sharpening guides)! For the sharpest edge possible apply the polishing compound to the 12000 Micro Mesh belts. This polishing compound is a .5 micro aluminum oxide and titanium oxide mixture that works well with all types of steels that knives are typically made from.Since the compound can be reapplied again and again you will be able to achieve incredibly long life from these belts.
