Although three of Ewers" novels were translated into English between 1927 and 1934 and became well-known to connoisseurs of the weird, his short stories have remained largely unavailable to Anglophone readers. Other than BLOOD (1930), which contained just three stories, this is, to our knowledge, the first extensive offering in English of this facet of his work. A fine copy. 2000.
