Description: Stockholm, Sweden 1937 to USA cover 30 ore AVG LBR to Ft. Madison, Iowa I am going through some of my late grandfather's possessions, and he has some interesting postage stamps and envelopes. Grandpa lived in Ft. Madison, Iowa, where Sheaffer Pen Company was and still is headquartered. At the time, fine pens like theirs were often sold in jewelry stores, so Grandpa has envelopes from lots of jewelers, stationers and fancy pen stores around the world that must have once held payments or orders. Envelope is slit at top and right edges from opening and removal of contents. Envelope is from Brynolf Borjeson, Stockholm, Sweden to Messrs W.A. Sheaffer Pen Company in Fort Madison, Iowa, USA. Postmarked 14 August 1937 in Stockholm. I like the cancellation rolling across the top of the envelope like this. 30 Ore stamp is in nice shape. Lower left corner is peeling up a bit.
