Description: Sterling Silver Marcasite & Carnelian Antique Ring - Size 4 1/2. This antique sterling silver ring holds a large carnelian stone surrounded by rose cut marcasite stones. The oval faceted carnelian stone measures approximately 14mm long x 10mm wide. The carnelian is the classic red/orange color, a little or darker depending on the light. The stone is in great condition with no chipping, and is secure in it's bezel mounting. The main stone is surrounded by (24) rose cut marcasite stones and a beautiful art deco mounting. The mounting measures approximately 22.5mm long x 16mm wide. The band measures approximately 2mm wide at the mounting tapered to 1.5mm at the base. The inside of the band has an illegible stamped, as pictured. It appears the ring may have been previously sized. Size 4 1/2. 4.1 grams. This ring is in overall great antique condition.
