Sterling Models B6-M Chris Craft 32' Super Seluxe Enclosed Cruiser vintage 1950s

Description: I am listing this nearly 70-ish year old kit as "NEW" because it is "new in the box" and has not been started. Everything is there, including warranty info, catalog, etc from Sterling Models. For what it is, and the condition of the materials supplied by the manufacturer, it is in EXCELLENT condition. Stored in a clean, dry, non-smoking environment. Scalemates.com lists the introduction date as "195X" and I have found a few internet references to similar Sterling Models boat kits from the early to mid 1950s The decals are probably not good (photo)The box cover has a tear on one edge (photo)There is clear tape on one corner of the box top (no photo) Hardware set (ship fittings) is included along with a metal stuffing box (photo)Acetate window plastic is intact and not yellowedInstructions have some small bug holes (photos) but they are very flexible.I have had the kit for at least 20 years on my model stash shelf. I had plans to build it one day, but I will now pass it on to someone else that may want to try. The box with all of its parts is 24" x 7.5" x 2.25" and weighs 3.1 lbs. The plan is to plastic wrap the original box to protect it from moisture and the ship it in a sturdy box to protect it from the handlers that would otherwise ruin it.My boxes that I use to ship are very sturdy so they will add some significant value to the shipping weight ------------------------ In the event of a return, return postage and postage insurance is to be paid for by buyer.and items is lost are the responsibility of the seller to track and apply for the claim.
