Description: I assumed this was a Christmas tree-topper until I picked it up and heard it ring. Nice loud tone. There are no makers' marks that I can see. It came to me in a large lot of personal belongings of a family that moved to the States from Italy and downsized after they got here so I am thinking it likely is European in origin. You will have to decide for yourself. I don't really think it is a mass-produced item either. There's some heft to it and the joints are certainly good and securely welded but not with a machine-weld look. The whole thing is sturdy and you can tell by picking it up.
