He expects to be reassigned to a smaller ship, but instead he is given command of a new Constitution-class ship which is named the Enterprise-A in honor of its predecessor. The A made its debut at the end of STAR TREK IV and was filmed using the model that had been used in the first three movies with the addition of an extra letter at the end of the registry. This model is die-cast, hand-painted, and comes with an in-depth mini magazine featuring product artwork and highlighting the ship's history and design. From the Star Trek Starships Collection, The USS Enterprise NCC 1701-A has been painstakingly recreated in die-cast and plastic materials, and then hand painted with an incredible level of detail.
