Description: Up for sale is a nice Stanley #8 Type 14 hand plane. This plane has the large adj. nut and high knob. This plane has the sweetheart AA logo on the iron. This is a very nice plane over all, the only issue is the horn on the tote has been knocked off. Not sure if this was done on purpose or not. Many of these old planes had the horn cut back, I think because the lateral adj. lever got loose and rubbed on it, easier to do that than tighten up the lever.. The tote and knob have the beautiful Rosewood patina still intake. There are no cracks anywhere on the plane.
