Description: In the coming months I am converting a tiny fraction of my several tons of exotic hardwoods back into cash- the good stuff that rarely makes it back to market. I had this stuff drying indoors in a heated space for a decade or more and some of it dates all the way back to 1992 when I began collecting the prettiest wood I could find from around the world. If you have a question, please ask it before purchasing- I know my wood and will answer within a few hours most of the time. All dimensions are +/- 1/16" but tend to be more accurate. If there are defects that I can see that I think would cause a problem I will note it in the description. Burls and live edge may have natural internal flaws. It has been professionally stabilized and is hard, flat and ready for your project. Crotch wood is rarely as nicely figured as this and the reason it is priced so high everywhere is that it is so highly prized on the high-end market and because you have to waste so much wood (and $$$) to find the gem inside. There aren't many prettier woods than Claro, and the chatoyance of a crotch can rival the finest koa. The photos don't do these crotches justice but this is worthy of gallery or museum quality work, you will not be disappointed. Gun grip blanks, hidden tang, box wood, micro lumber, etc. Please note that the color you see on your screen may be different than the color I see on my screen so please ask questions if precise color or shade is important for your project. Photos are of the blank dry, sanded to 220 grit to give an idea what it will look like finished. Just try to imagine how nice this will look with your favorite finish applied!
