As the suit progressed, McFarlane had to stop actively using the characters, hence the Death of Angela.Neil Gaiman would eventually win the suit, gaining full ownership of the characters. He donated any gains from the lawsuit to benefit creator ownership rights & eventually sold Angela to Marvel Comics At Marvel, Angela became Asgard's Assassin, the half sister to Thor & Loki and a Guardian of the Galaxy. This story line came out when Spawn sales were on the decline, making this a very hard series to collect. Spawn was barely making it into the top 300 monthly solicited comics.
