I don't know how this occurred, because the person i received these from definitely would not send a coin with visible hairlines, i blame it on the mail service, and the coin jostling around. A friend of mine, and high end ebayer, wrote to me; -----The only real problem with…. are those marks and whether the grader and senior grader recognize them as die prep marks or think they’re cleaning. We’ve had Vatican and Italian coins straight from OGP come back as “cleaned” - and Slovenia is in that region of mints (Rome, Belgrade, etc) that heavy die prepped at one time. We have several raw coins also, but the fear is they will come back body bagged. And then it’s a hassle to get it corrected (if they will).----- I think the coin looks better in person, but the hairlines bother me. They always do, who am i fooling.
