Image comes in a case attributed to George Auxer who was a daguerreotypist in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Great photo Auxer, George H.Active as a daguerreian in Chambersburg and Marietta, Pa. He was listed in Chambersburg in 1850-1851. In 1859-1860 he was listed in Marietta on Elbow Lane near Front Street. His name is imprinted on a velvet case liner.
