Description: Wouldn't you like to have an authentic Singer blind stitch attachment in lovely condition? This auction features the accessory which "produces invisible hemming with perfect blind stitches on an almost unlimited variety of work." Further, "It is easy to use and will enable you to accomplish superior invisible hemming much faster and with less effort than is possible by hand." Also, it attaches easily in place of the regular presser foot, using the specialty screw added to give extra stability when in use. This item was designed for Singer low shank vintage machines, such as the class 15, 99, 201 and most 66s, as well as the beloved Featherweights 221 and 222. Its part # 160616 and "SINGER" and "U.S.A." are stamped on the bottom of the foot, and the "SINGER" logo also appears on the top. It is in above average used condition, with only a couple of dings in its shiny black paint, and no rust or corrosion on the working surfaces. In fact, there is very little sign of use! This auction also includes an authentic Singer attaching screw, which shows in the manual. This a "smaller" screw of the same style as was used later, and works fine. However, I've also added a Singer screw that has a longer "shaft" for easier handling, in my opinion. This is the same screw as the one provided with the Singer buttonholers, and it can be used with other attachments in addition to the blind stitch attachment. The instruction booklet was missing, so I've added one from my stash. It's in nice condition, though not as nice as the rest of this outfit. There are several dings, scratches and tiny tears along the edges. There is also a strong center crease from being stored in the box, as most of these are. The interior pages are nice, with no writing or other "damage" except for one torn/folded small piece on the top of one edge. The staples are clean, somewhat unusual, and holding all the pages securely together. The authentic Singer storage box lives up to the high standard of the attachment and screws. There is only very light scuffing along the edges, and a few other small dings and marks. It is very sturdy, and includes the cardboard separator, somewhat flattened, in the base. All in all, this is one of the nicest blind stitch attachments I've ever handled. This attachment is ready to go to work with your vintage low shank Singer sewing machine!
