The New Sweden airmail stamp was issued jointly with the postal authorities of Sweden and Finland and this program also bears the Swedish and Finnish versions of the stamp with their first day cancellations. "...honors the 350th anniversary of the settlement of New Sweden with this joint issue - its first with two countries. The common design for the three stamps was created by Sweden's Goran Osterlund." This program is autographed by Michael N. Castle, then Governor of Delaware, later member, U.S. House of Representatives. There is an added C117 stamp - second day pictorial cancellation, marking the Swedish royal visit, April 13, 1988, King and Queen of Sweden Royal Visit Station, Wilmington, Delaware.
