BiographySon of a lawyer from Évreux, André Beaunier entered the École normale supérieure in 1890.He was a literary columnist for the Revue des Deux Mondes in 1912 and then an editorialist and dramatic critic at l'Écho de Paris in 1916.He lived in Vésinet in the 1920s.In 1925, he was president of the Free Society of Agriculture, Sciences, Arts and Letters of Eure.His wife Jeanne, daughter of the painter Jules Richomme, is a singer mezzo-soprano opera, who sang at the Paris Opera (Guillaume Tell, Rigoletto...) under the name of Raunay. She created main roles and sang works by Vincent d'Indy or his wedding witness. and friend the musician Gabriel Fauré. She sang Verdi on stage at Covent Garden with tenor Caruso. She gave singing lessons and published collections of memories including Un diner avec M.
