Description: Maude Franklin signed and dated framed drawing. Maud (Maude) Franklin was the model and mistress of James McNeill Whistler. This charming pen and ink drawing depicts 2 donkeys attacking an artist's easel, paints and painting while an artist, using his paint brush or cane to point, is sitting next to a woman. It is dated 14/6/98 - 1898?? I have not examined the art out of the frame but it appears to be in good condition - there may be a crease on the lower left. The art visible in the mat is 7 1/2 X 5 1/2 inches. The frame is 15 1/2 x 14 inches. Please examine photos to see that the wood frame has some areas where the gold paint is damaged.
