This means the system will automatically scan these two frequency ranges and select the one that offers the higher number of clean channels. The 2.4GHz range offers 83.5MHz of bandwidth, while the 5.8GHz range offers 125MHz. This means that 5.8 range 1.5x larger than 2.4GHz. The previous generation of GLX-D only operated in 2.4GHz, so the system scan could only find a frequency in a range of 83.5MHz. In contrast, the new GLX-D+ Dual Band has the same range, plus additional 125MHz in the 5.8GHz range.
