Description: Shorthose & Co Nelson Blue Transferware Pearlware Child's Teapot Circa 1806-1810 Rare pearlware child's size / miniature teapot decorated in the Nelson pattern in dark blue transfer. With ocher along the rim. This was part of a larger pattern commemorating Lord Horatio Nelson, who died during the battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Unmarked. Made by Shorthose & Co. Circa 1806 to 1810. Has a small chip to the spout, a few very small flakes along the bottom edge of the lid, and a few chips along the inner rim of the lid where it sits inside the pot. Otherwise good condition. Measures approximately 6 1/8 inches wide from handle to spout x 4 1/8 inches tall to the top of the lid finial.
